as we all know, metrosexual is becoming a trend these days.
any idea which company sold the first cosmetic and beauty products for men? and in what way that company satisfy mens' beauty needs?Which company who sells the first cosmetic or beauty products for men?
If you mean things like nose-hair trimmers, men's girdles, perfume, and snake-oil in general you are going to have to go back past the Victorian era.
If you mean cosmetics you have to go back past the Egyptian dynasties.
If you mean for ceremonial purposes you have to go back past the dawn of man.
Does that answer your question?

Why don't cheaper cosmetics/creams/hair products work as well as high end ones from Neiman/Nordstroms?
Popular sayings were that cheaper cosmetics worked just as well as higher end ones. Not so true! I've sampled and used SO many from high end cosmetics to low end, and at the end of the day what I find is that higher end cosmetics definitely work better, though are 10x more expensive than lower end cosmetics.
When I used products from L'oreal, Oil of Olay, Neutrogena, Aveeno, Dove, and millions of other middle of the road, and even lower end products, I noticed that they really didn't do anything really for treating aging, lines, etc. They are ok for moisturizing, sunblock, and all that stuff, but when it comes to SERIOUS skin care, and plastic surgery like results, they do NOT deliver.
However when I used higher end products from Neiman/Nordstroms, I find that they work SO well some of them, that you end up having a flawless complexion and they even make you look younger too.
In short: They work MUCH better.
Not all, there are some higher end cosmetics that are total ripoffs but,
is there just more research time and development put into higher end cosmetics?
If we're serious about skincare, should we spend the money on one or two of the higher name brands, and just ditch the lower stuff altogether?
Same goes for hair and hair products.
Any advice?
When you get your hair ';professionally'; done and use those professional products, your look is 10x better than if you were to buy your own dye and do it yourself etc.
Why don't cheaper cosmetics/creams/hair products work as well as high end ones from Neiman/Nordstroms?
the ';professional'; products tend to have higher priced ingredients and also contain more of the active ingredient. when it comes to hair, the professional color lines use ingredients that are less damaging and more conditioning to hair. but don't forget the people at the salon know how to formulate color and style hair. there's more to it then people think. hope this helped a little!

I never wear concealer/foundation whatever the diff is. Im wondering is mac the best brand? I dont li ke it to look cakey, my skin is naturally pretty nice but just for special occasions i want to take it to the next level. I like the stuff that looks bare, like u dont have anything on. help! btw my color is like cinnamonMac cosmetics..anyone use their products?

Enjoy :)Mac cosmetics..anyone use their products?
MAC Foundations are known for their thick characteristics. They are clay-like and have been used for theatrical purposes. The foundation most likely wont give your face that natural look because of it's thickness. MAC face products have been known to cause breakouts around the face, espeically if you have sensitive skin. If your complexion is nearly flawless, I wouldn't bother with MAC foundations. Try something that is a bit lighter on the face.
CoverGirl - AquaSmooth is a cream foundation that is generally lightweight. It applies smoothly and blends into your face easy. It doesn't leave your face streaky or sticky like most liquid foundations. For a drugstore brand of foundation, it worths exceptionally well. Like with most foundations, apply a pressed or loose powder over the foundation, to give your face a final, natural finish.
Just so you know, a concealer is used to cover blemishes around the face. (Partial facial redness, dark undereye circles, acne scars, etc.) It's not to be applied to the entire face like foundation. It has a thicker base than foundation, therefore covering better.
I like their concealer and powder but not the foundation.
The foundation does give you that perfect look, but some types are a bit too heavy. I didn't look cakey when i had it applied ( Mineralize satinfinish foundation) as it was a medium coverage foundation.
But i have sensitive skin, and since the foundations are very oil based i broke out in bad spots :( I never get pimples and after one use they were all over my cheek and nose.
I stopped using it right away, but since then i've continued with the other Products and they're great.
Just the foundation my skin can't take, but if you don't have sensitive skin like mine then it'll probably become your best friend :)
Hmmm MAC can go on really cakey, but you can also make it looks not cakey.. use Studio Fix liquid foundation, then a tiny bit of Select Sheer Pressed powder blended on your skin really good. If your face starts getting oily or if it gets cakey, blot your skin lightly; or take a big powder brush and blend the makeup a little bit more, using just a tiny bit more powder.
MAC makes mineralized skin finishes which go on very lightly and just give you that air brushed look. I was using them before I started using Bare Escentuals and I loved them. They would be great for you since you said your skin is already pretty good, just dip a brush in it and lightly buff on to your face. The coverage is buildable, as well.
Mac is a good brand. I would recommend going to sephora and getting a consultation. They tell you what is best for your skin type. I love Cargo foundation powder. At sephora you can even get samples to try at home first.
i love mac its the bestttt

Cosmetics and skincare products to avoid during breastfeeding?
I read a lot of information on the internet about what to avoid when you are pregnant. But do the same rules apply after birth and when you breastfeed? Were you advised not to use something by a doctor? I get many skincare products as gifts, and since I am only 17 weeks I am going to avoid ';brightening'; masks and salcylic acid washes and products just to be safe. I also got dead sea masks and produst. I am not going to use those (unopened) products until I give birth at least.
I like to try new skincare stuff but I don't know what to do...

I alos have papaya and pineapple enzyme masks. Just wanted to mention a few things here...Cosmetics and skincare products to avoid during breastfeeding?
While you are breast feeding, use Extra Virgin Olive Oil as a facial moisturizer. I've been using it, straight from the bottle, for the past 3 months and my skin is in the best condition of my life! You just need a few drops. My skin tone has evened out, lines have disappeared and my face has a healthy glow. I thought it would give me an oily greasy face but not so! My skin drinks it in and there is no odor. I'l bet you will continue to use it when the breast feeding phase is over!
Why spend a small fortune on skin care products when the best thing for your skin is right there in your kitchen cabinet?!
Plus, it's just plain healthier for you and your baby!Cosmetics and skincare products to avoid during breastfeeding?
Hello,
I have a 20 month old baby boy, when i was preggers I used cliniques ';sent free'; step3 line of skin care products and while i was b-feeding too. Only due to the fact that I was so sensitive to smells. I don't think you have to worry about skin care products on yourself while preggs or post during nursing b/c your not transferring those products to your babe by absorbing them through your skin. Check with a Doctor if you are really paranoid though to make sure.

Good Vegan Products/Cosmetics?
Does anyone know any good brands for cosmetics, body lotion, deordorant, etc.?Good Vegan Products/Cosmetics?
Wholefoods have shampoos, lotions, and deodorants that are good, their are several brands there but i recommend jasons or the wholefood brand
Lush
Urban DecayGood Vegan Products/Cosmetics?
REVLON and ELF arn't tested on animals, and most of their products don't contain any animal ingridents
the body shop doesn't test on animals but almost all their products contain animal deprived ingridents, etc beeswax, lanolin, etc
LUSH are all natural and when they say natural, they mean it,unlike companies who claim chemicals being natural. most of their products are vegan, and are labelled it so it's easier to find.
MAC, orgins, urban decay, uhh elizabeth arden, dior, don't test on animals, if yer wanting makeup.
also hit your local health shop, the hippies know what theyre doin
LUSH products are vegan, I believe. They have a wide variety of stuff -- soaps, bath bombs, face washes, moisturizers, etc. For the most part, MAC is also vegan-friendly (except brushes and some lipsticks), check their site for more information. I'd suggest visiting an environmental-friendly neighborhood store (like Trader Joe's, Fresh and Easy, the organic section of Vons, etc.) and checking out products there.
Eco tools is Vegan. The handles are made of bamboo and the hairs are synthetic. Also, the brushes are very soft.

Women going into public without cosmetics is cruel; of course there's always the Burkha.
Go to the lab and exchange yourself for a couple of lab animals.
Preliminary testing can be done effectively with computer modeling and deduction but before I use it I want that lab animal to try it out. If you were honest with yourself you feel the same way. Just curious are you a vegetarian? Are you a vegan? How do you feel about abortion? What is your stand on capital punishment?
Sorry, but in a world where everyone wants an omelet there is a need to break eggs. I'm sure you use cosmetics and perfumes. Would you want the same computer that says a bee can't fly tell you that your perfume is safe? Testing is crucial to some things like medications. Without lab animals I would probably be dead right now. I have diabetes, no testing, equals no meds and results in no GIMP.

Animal Products hidden in cosmetics?
I recently heard that cosmetic companies buy animal products from rendering plants and put them in cosmetics and skin care products.
I also heard that they are not required to put these ingredients on their labels.
Is this true? I am so grossed out!Animal Products hidden in cosmetics?
Cosmetics companies are required to disclose their ingredients . However, not all animal derived ingredients are clearly recognizable or identified for the average consumer.
Here are a couple of sites to help you out:
http://www.caringconsumer.com/ has information about animal testing and cosmetic ingredients.

Actually it is true, and if you are grossed out, I suggest you don't use lipstick anymore, because every brand puts fish scales in the lip stick. From now on, you'd be safer to use gloss or chapstick!
Arbonne discloses its ingredients (beauty and make-up), which are all natural and organic. They do NOT test on animals and proudly display the PETA bunny.
Go to the PETA website and check out the list of companies that do NOT use any animal products...Its a big list!
It is true that animal by-products are used in some cosmetics.
If you are worried by this - and you should be - (ugh) then use cosmetics from The Body Shop where there are no animal by-products used in manufacture!

Do avon cosmetics test their products on animals?
They say they don't. You can guarentee that somewhere in the past the ingredients in the cosmetics have been tested, but you can say that for all brands.
MajDo avon cosmetics test their products on animals?
You can never really tell, some websites state that they do some say that they don't. Maybe write a letter or email them and ask them directly. PETA have a link on their website which tells you which products they know for definite do test on animals and which for definite don't! I hate not knowing also, I'm a vegetarian and anti-fur and animal testing and I hate not knowing!Do avon cosmetics test their products on animals?
Avon are PETA approved which means that they sign a declaration stating that they do not test their products or their product ingredients on animals. they will have to provide a fixed cut-off date (the very last time they tested on animals) which i believe is the same as the co-op (1985) it is better to support these brands as at least with every new product that is developed and produced you know that no harm comes to animals. PETA does use undercover investigations also to prove the companies are telling the truth so the people saying ';you never really know'; well actually -WE DO!
Avon do not test there products on animals as i am one of the people who work actually at Avon testing so I'm lucky i came across this question. Avon test there products on natural human beings with all different shades of skin as this helps decide which look is better for the different shades of skin

Avon test there products on natural human beings with all different shades of skin as this helps decide which look is better for the different shades of skin
thank you for your time in listening to me any other concers please contact me by email

I have cosmetics and skincare products available at wholesale price for UK buyers.?
What/where would be the best place to advertise this fact. I've looked at a few sites and got a few customers but I'd like even more :)I have cosmetics and skincare products available at wholesale price for UK buyers.?
http://www.google.co.uk/intl/en//landing鈥?/a>
advertising does not need to be expensive. it is very cost effective if you do it well. the splatter-gun effect where you just target everyone and hope some of the messages stick is not going to work at all. so, know your customers and where they are when they are thinking about looking for your product, how are you going to communicate with them?
there are many simple and cost-effective solutions you can use, and here are a few of them:
* member get member - if you already have excited customers get them to recruit more for you - but offer them a gift or reward.
* internet advertising - pay per click on the search engines is a great way to get customers to your website if it hasn't got good rankings - but you need to know what you are doing.
* local businesses and consumers - one of the easiest and cheap methods of advertising is to your local community. you can either get the post office to put things through people's letterboxes or print a flyer and do it yourself. (don't forget to put a call to action on this though).

or just make a good looking site, and make sure that the keywords are in so that it appears in google!
good luck!
EDIT: you could do some videos on youtube using the products and then add teh link in at the end!
Or of course there is always ebay ;)

Can you keep makeup/cosmetics/hair products for several years, if you don't use it often/take care of them?
With the exception of mascara, and certain organic/fruit/plant products which have a shorter shelf life, if you don't use cosmetics/products that often, can you keep them around for a few years, or do you have to discard them every few months?
It's frustrating because I have mannnnnnnnny items, and I spent so much money on them, nothing like lipstick or pencils, (im a guy), but skin creams, moisturizers, a few things like cover up, but top of the notch stuff. I got some of these things about a year ago, and would hate to just throw it away, after all the money I spent on it.
Are creams/cosmetics/hair products still effective or can be used several years later?
Or are they really meant to be used short term? Can you keep makeup/cosmetics/hair products for several years, if you don't use it often/take care of them?
I can understand where you are coming from. I have a ton of expensive products that I have a hard time throwing away.
For the most part I don't throw it away unless the texture, color, and/or smells funny. Also if I use it and get a funny reaction- it get tossed. I don't think if you keep something for a year or two it gets a bad or lose it's effectiveness. I think it's the cosmetics company that is just trying to get us to buy more stuff.
If you keep stuff out of heat, light and moisture it extends the life of products too.
My favorite brand to get is MAC because they have a recycling program- you can take in six MAC products and get a free lipstick, lip gloss or eyeshadow. ( Which doesn't help you as a guy but you can give it to a friend and it feels less wasteful. )Can you keep makeup/cosmetics/hair products for several years, if you don't use it often/take care of them?
Technically, you're supposed to throw things out.
I say use'em if they're usable - lotions, you'll KNOW when they've gone past - they'll get funky. Some will go rancid, so you'll know.
If it smells fine, looks fine and the consistency is normal - use it.
Anything you put on your face (like cover up) can contain bacteria - that's why they come in small ';portion'; sizes.

Buying cosmetic products from websites besides the company's: reliable ?
I've been wanting to buy murad products, and after shipping%26amp;the cost of products, it seems MUCH cheaper to buy the stuff at different sites other than the company's site.
is it reliable ?
will the products be knockoffs or be tampered with ?
what's the catch ?Buying cosmetic products from websites besides the company's: reliable ?
its probably stale ... the nail polish has probably separated .... the powder has probably broken up ... its probably old ... returned ... idk ... then again it might be good ....

Hello everyone! Have you ever heard about the company NUSKIN (cosmetics) and their products?
If you have - could you please tell me the country you are in?
How popular are the NUSKIN products there? What's the price (in usd)? Have you used them? Did you like the effect?Hello everyone! Have you ever heard about the company NUSKIN (cosmetics) and their products?
Nuskin is not that well known in the US at least where I'm at. I personally have had a lot of success with the nuskin products even though they are kinda overpriced. I've tried the clear action, mud packs, body bars, and a couple make up products and they're great. They don't irritate my skin, which is very hard to find because usually my eyes start watering and I start sneezing. There are probably cheaper alternatives out there but I haven't found many. For prices here's the link http://www.nuskin.com/corp/product/compl鈥?/a>Hello everyone! Have you ever heard about the company NUSKIN (cosmetics) and their products?

My hand lotion has Nonoxynol 9--spermicide. Then I see online it's common in cosmetics products. WHY?!?
I bought some lotion today from the dollar store, nice stuff, smells like grape candy and has shea butter, etc......I rubbed it all over myself after my bath, and then read the bottle to see the ingredients, and find it has Nonoxynol 9, which I know is a spermicide. I'm thinking it's a reject cause it came from the dollar store, wondering why they'd put that in there, then I look online to see if it will have bad affects on my skin, and I find that it is common in cosmetics including shaving cream, hair dye and lotion. I don't understand this. Please explain why, and will this harm me?My hand lotion has Nonoxynol 9--spermicide. Then I see online it's common in cosmetics products. WHY?!?
Wow! I cannot answer your question because unfortunately I didn't know about this either, until I just read your question! Thank you for the heads up at least, and I will be checking back to see what others answer you. And doing some research myself. Thanks! A star for you.My hand lotion has Nonoxynol 9--spermicide. Then I see online it's common in cosmetics products. WHY?!?
It will not harm you, but that is the reason why it is a better idea to pay a bit more for a high quality botanical product that doesn't contain chemical or animal by products.
Check out www.arbonne.com...they have great botanical products and the stuff works.
I would assume they found the principles of it being a spermicide after they started putting it into lotions.
It obviously will not harm you or they wouldnt put it in there..............
Nonoxynol 9's primary indication is as a skin softener. It's also found in shaving cream. The germicidal property is a side-effect.
But if there are any girls out there who use the stuff mainly for the other reason, I am available nights and weekends.

Do you try to avoid using drugstore brand cosmetics and hair and skin care products?
Why?.Do you try to avoid using drugstore brand cosmetics and hair and skin care products?
I find other products work better for some things. I buy Bare Minerals products on my face and eyes and use a mineral facial soap, plus department store facial moisturizer, however;
I use Maybelline eye makeup remover for waterproof mascara (cheap but mostly it actually works better for waterproof mascara than either Clinique or Mary Kay). I use drugstore brands of body wash (I actually prefer Clinique, but I go through far too much body wash to buy theirs), body moisturizer (money is the big factor here). I love drugstore lipstick as a rule, usually Revlon, L'Oreal, or Milani--and the reason why is I like their colors, although I do own a couple of Clinique lipsticks.
On the other hand, I use a blonde eyebrow pencil by Mary Kay because it is frankly the only one I can find light enough with the right consistency, but I have used Revlon lip liner for years for the same reason. I go with what works best as a rule. I don't think Revlon is any harsher than Clinique or Estee Lauder when it comes to lipstick. My main consideration is what works well for me and what colors work and if I can save money, so much the better.
I've used shampoo and hair products from the drugstore, like Paul Mitchell (which used to be only at salons) and John Frieda, but really prefer to get mine from the beauty supply or my hair stylist. I was formerly a hair stylist and I really do think they are better. I never found Clinique or department stores shampoos all that good since Pantene left department stores and started to sell junkier stuff at the drugstores. Pantene used to be the Cadillac of shampoos 25-30 years ago and was only sold at the better stores. My hair is thin and fine and I have to use a lot of product so I need all the help I can get.Do you try to avoid using drugstore brand cosmetics and hair and skin care products?
no some are rated higher and have better ingredients than expensive department store items.
yea i try to avoid drugstore brands... they just dont work as well for me usually......
No. You find awesome things in drugstores, like St.Ives products.

Dear amanda,
There is recent evidence that DEA(diethanolamine) is a potent carcinogen found in many mainstream cosmetics and toiletries. It's a potentially cancer-causing ingredient which is readily absorbed through the skin.
With this in mind, I chose to reconsider all my beauty products hopping habits. So I shop natural. The site is www.ineways.com/givestar
i compare the ingredients. often, the name brands and generic brands are exactly the same, so i buy the generic for half the cost. works just the same

What is the open cylinder logo/marking at the back of cosmetic products?
Like in hand creams, where at the back, you have an open cylinder, with a number inside it, like ';12M';. What is this symbol for. Its usually found next to the quantity (like 50 ml). What is the open cylinder logo/marking at the back of cosmetic products?
i'd take a guess at, use within 12months of opening.
i say this because cosmetic products have proservatives and they don't tend to last very long, so once they go you are putting bad bacteria on to yourself. What is the open cylinder logo/marking at the back of cosmetic products?
its the best before date after the product has been opened.
This is because everytime it is opened bacteria gets into it and eventually this stops the product from doing what it says it does. It wont harm you to use products after this date but they just wont be as effective
Hi this tells you how may months it will stay fresh for, So as soon as you open it it will be ok to use for as many months as it says on the symbol with the pot open. A few years ago they didnt have best before dates on. But after a while you find the creams or whatever go a different colour or smell different this is because they have gone of.So they but these on so you know.
It is telling you the expiry date for example if it has a 12 in it. you ust use it within 12 months of opening.
Like the use by date on food really.

Ok, I just want to say that MAC is my life and it's amazing and I hate you for making me pick only three!!
1- Okay, I know it's said a lot but it's because it's true! I LOVE THEIR EYESHADOWS!! My favorites are Knight Divine, Green Smoke, Typographic and Ricepaper!
2- Their lipsticks! I'm younger so I don't jump into the darker colors like red, pinks or mauves. I play with the nude tones. The best are Myth and from the Heatherette collection, Fleshpot and from the N collection 1N. They are so amazing. Nude lips look good on everyone.
3- Their Kohl Liners! My favorite is a color called Industry. I used to wear pharmacy brand eyeliners all the time but when I discovered this product I'd never even dream of going back. It goes on impossibly smooth and lasts litteraly all day and all night!
Enjoy :)
I would like to start off by saying it is the best store ever!!!! #1) Their eye shadows. they are the hottest colors and they stay on well #2)MAC Matte that stuff keeps my make up on all day long #3) The brushes. I have all of their brushes and use them every single day

Any african americans who use Mac cosmetics? If so whats your favorite products?
How do you apply your foundation?Any african americans who use Mac cosmetics? If so whats your favorite products?
I am not african american, but.......I LOVE MAC........their pigments are the bomb, and as a makup artist, I know that the pigments and the eyeshadows would look great on african american skin. Go to your local mac counter and ask them to do a free makeover on you, so you can see what it looks like on you, and they will. You will love it!Any african americans who use Mac cosmetics? My sister does. She uses their eye shadow and it looks great on her, I don't think she has any foundation by them.
I am not African American but I am a dark Asian. I use NC35 Studio fix powder foundation and NC40 Studio Fix Liquid foundation. My favorite products are their lipglasses because they come in plenty of colors and finishes plus they smell like a milkshake. I so love lipglass but I also like MAC blushes, and eyeshadows too!
I apply concealer under my eyes with a concealer brush.
I apply the liquid foundation with a wedge sponge or foundation brush then I set it with the Studio Fix powder foundation using a powder brush. This is for night looks, formal events and special occassions.
For regular days i just put concealer then brush on the Studio Fix powder. I rarely use the sponge as it can look heavy snd unnatural.web development

When do you know it's time for ';anti-age'; cosmetics and skin care products?
On your 40th birthday (no offense to those 40 years young!)? At the first sign of lines around the eyes/mouth? I'm 25 and not really worried about aging right now, but I was just curious....When do you know it's time for ';anti-age'; cosmetics and skin care products?
The aging process actually start under the skin years before you see it on the surface so you want to be sure you are taking care of your skin and then you don't have to work so hard to fix it later. Always use SPF and oil-free moisturizer.
I started using Anti-aging at 28.
I am 40 now and People don't believe me.When do you know it's time for ';anti-age'; cosmetics and skin care products?
well i'm 43 years young and actually i kinda wished i had started using anti-aging in my 30's .. it would have prevented more of my wrinkles which are characteristic but ya know who likes them anyway.. he he he
I dont think you have to be a certain age to start using anti-aging products. I'm 22 and I've been using anti-aging products for 6 months now. The sooner you start the better.....
Take a look at the products I use, The Artistry庐 Time Defiance庐 Skin Care Systems are the best out there!
Ive always heard (and followed) the advice that the best time to do it is BEFORE you need it. Like momma always said: ';an ounce of prevention is a pound of cure';. Especially if you live in an area thats is very sunny or high pollution. You don't have to spend a lot of money, a simple moisturizer from the drug store will work, and as you get older you can tailor your skin care regimen to your specific anti-aging needs.

With all the cosmetic products outthere, what do i use for an aging face & dark lines under my eyes ?
im 30 now and dont like the way my face is aging.
in the supermarket, there are just to many products to know what to choose..
could you name specific brands and when and how to use them ?
what order etc ?
what to buy etc ? what to use and when and in what order ?
please be SPECIFIC and thorough in your explaination .
thanks. With all the cosmetic products outthere, what do i use for an aging face %26amp; dark lines under my eyes ?
After a great deal of research and experimentation I found only one treatment that is a truly effective, safe one for wrinkles and deep lines and for renewing vitality to skin and that can truly rejuvenate face. And all for a modest cost. It's using only NATURAL products and it's quick acting. It does not just fade lines and wrinkles a little, it greatly minimizes them and can prevent new ones forming. It's a special treatment and safe massage technique using natural oils which I have given very detailed info about in my many Best Answers(wrinkles, lines, ant aging, rejuvenation, etc.) It has received glowing reports from users. If you research my answers you will find. If you cannot, I will gladly email you the full instructions.
If you do suitable Google searches'; Do anti aging products work?'; ';Anti aging creams, lotions a scam?'; etc.
You will find many are scams and many others simply fail to do what is claimed.and some even contain skin harming, skin aging and even health harming ingredients. I can be emailed

hi im emma im a virgin vie skin care consultant
here is what i would recomend...
for those dark lines use round the clock 24hour eye care (product num 15020-00) the wide awake gel (in the morning) contains a botanical complex to help reduce dark circles and keeps the eye area hydrated and then the beauty sleep cream (bed time) is a blends of natural moisturisers and vitamins to reduce fine lines .
both are easy to use just dab a tiny amount under the eye and rub gentiley in.
as for the face a good skin routine is key cleanse, tone and moistureis daily (i find its best done before bed so you remove all make-up)
without knowing what skin type you have this is more difficult but there is a guide on the website to help you find the right creams for you just click on the link below
hope this was helpful
Face masks and cucumbers every night is my answer. I do a face mask every week or so and cucumbers for two or three days then leave it til the next week. Just a couple of nights a week when you are really really knackered can help disguise a hard night out...
Fish oil, will help if you continue to use if regularly, as it will also help your BPD...and drink lots and lots of water...stop staying up late also,...it will age you faster than anything, and so will an old attitutude..
ive always used baby lotion or baby wipes, coz they are so gentle.for dark circles under the eyes, preperation H works, wonders, as used by the stars (no, im not joking!)
Forget the anti age-wrinkle creams.Get a facial scrub

Does eating natural, organic and using natural cosmetics/products make a difference healthwise?
I try to eat natural, if not organic, then at least washed really well, and I tend to try to eat healthy. I also use natural or organic nail polish, nail polish remover, lip gloss, things of that nature, any type of cosmetics hair products etc.
Does it really make a difference if little things such as your lip gloss and cosmetics are natural, free or carcinogens?
I mean certain things, and yes as a male I still get a manicure/pedicure, and use natural nail polish and natural nail polish remover from honeybeegardens.
I don't think things for women like mascara, if it's natural or not, really matters, because hell, it's mascara, how is it going to get absorbed anywhere?
But things that lie on your skin/nails/lips and stay there for a long time, isn't it important then that the products you use are SAFE?
Even if theyre' not natural, as long as they're ';safe';, or is there no such thing as safe?
Any opinions?Does eating natural, organic and using natural cosmetics/products make a difference healthwise?
every little bit helps its already bad enough we have to breathe the nasty air so go with it my grandma is an organic nut and she looks gorgeous shes 60 and looks about 40 no joke she wears mini skirts and high heels and looks good you wouldnt believe it unless you saw but i say do waht your doing its definetley not going to hurtDoes eating natural, organic and using natural cosmetics/products make a difference healthwise?
natural, or organic things are very important. If we buy the non natural things like Lip stick did you know it is made of pig fat. Now we all should be putting natural thing on our body because if it is a something like Mascara or nail polish or shampoo stuff like that win you toss it away to the dump the liquids form a thing called Leachate which is a deadly poison then it sinks through the ground and into our water supply. But if we use Natural or organic things it if good for our community and for our pigs.
So we should be using Organic or Natural Make-up products. Not pig fat!
yeah deffinetly

I quit selling Mary -Kay cosmetics, have products left. Is anyone willing to buy off of me?
The company will buy back all of your products from you at 90% of your cost. That is a much better option that trying to slowly sell it off piece by piece. As a consultant, I can buy gauranteed products directly from the company so I am not comfortable buying products from someone I don't know.I quit selling Mary -Kay cosmetics, have products left. There is some useful information on http://skincare.hammocksurvivalguide.com鈥?/a> about taking care of that substance that covers your body :)

plus eve, like in ';christmas eve'; can point to something that comes before something good. it can be the eve of a new, improved, better you.
but then again...
';forbidden'; would be a great name as well.
I love nakedbeauty :)

What cosmetic products are Animal Cruelty Free & Not tested on animals??
If I remember correctly, Neutrogena,Maybelline, and Loreal do not test...also from what I remember Max Factor,Cover Girl and Procter and Gamble test or the companies that have their ingredients do animal testing. I remember that I haven't bought these for that purpose. Sometimes it'll say on the back of the package..animal testing is ridiculous since the first human to try the product is the actual guinea pig.duh.
Anyway here is part of a report that i found on the web:
According to an abstract called Animal Testing by the Cosmetic Industry these companies and examples of their products include: Unilever: Dove soap, Cutex, Wisk Laundry detergent, I Can鈥檛 Believe it鈥檚 not Butter, Echo, Crem Silk shampoo Proctor and Gamble: Max Factor, Clarion, Cover Girl, Luvs, Pampers, Vidal Sassoon, Crest toothpaste, Tide laundry detergent, Head and Shoulders Colgate-Palmolive: Palmolive shampoo, Colgate toothpaste These are just a few of the companies that are still testing the list goes on and on.What cosmetic products are Animal Cruelty Free %26amp; Not tested on animals??
Neutrogena (owned by Johnson and Johnson), Maybelline, and L'oreal (L'oreal owns Maybelline) DO test on animals.
Almay, Revlon, Milani and Physicians Formula do not.
Estee Lauder and Clinique don't test, but Lancome and Elizabeth Arden do. Report Abuse
What cosmetic products are Animal Cruelty Free %26amp; Not tested on animals??
Arbonne Internation products use animal fee ingerdients, and no animal testing.
I'm not sure about the other ones, but I sell Avon and I know that we dont test. (www.youravon.com/acahall) if you want to view and or order. I also know that there is a website if you search on google that you can find out who tests on animals
i am really upset about animal testing as well i use almay eye shadow and its great i dot like their other products but they dont test on animals i am trying to find out about other brands as well http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;鈥?/a> if i find somethign ill asnwer yrs and if u find something u answer mine ok?
My favorite company that is doesn't animal test, is cruelty free, and is all around amazing? URBAN DECAY COSMETICS.
Here is a list though that I think will be helpful:

Has anyone ever heard of Arbonne Cosmetic Products? If so have you tried them?
How do they differ from others such as Avon, Marykay, and Baressentials?Has anyone ever heard of Arbonne Cosmetic Products? If so have you tried them?
Arbonne cosmetics are made with all natural ingredients. I use nothing other than Arbonne cosmetics, not only because I am a rep but the cosmetics feel free and light weight.I started using them first to get the discount and now there are others I have introduced this to that love this also. Mary kay is a good one but I have had many clients that change over because these products last and stay on.Has anyone ever heard of Arbonne Cosmetic Products? If so have you tried them?
I was under the impression that Arbonne products were NOT ALL natural. They are naturally and bitanically based, right??? Report Abuse
i LOVE arbonne, it is So0o0o0o0o0 nice, and all natrual, great products that make you look beautiful, its not only cosmetics, its skincare, great mens products, health (vitamens, ect.) and its great!! look at http://arbonne.com or find a representitive in your town, i promise...they are great!!
I will never use Arbonne Cosmetics. This company is one of the most unethical in the business, in my experience.
Arbonne products are botanically based, scientifically advanced (not all natural) products formulated in Switzerland and made in the USA. They are pH correct, contain no animal products or byproducts, are never tested on animals, contain no mineral oil, and have no chemical dyes or fragrances (unless clearly noted on some of the aromatherapy products). Compared to other department store brands, they are very affordable. Plus there is a 45-day money back guaranty, no questions asked. Check their ingredient lists compared to other brands. Arbonne has far superior ingredients! (And, again, no petroleum based products such as mineral oil which is really bad for your skin.)
Someone above mentioned that they are unethical. As with any home-based business product, some representatives may not necessarily be ethical, and although they represent the company, it doesn't mean the company is unethical. No company, whether it's a home-based business, a department store, government, or a corporate environment, employs people who are 100% ethical 100% of the time. Just watch the evening news. Arbonne has a strict set of ethical guidelines which consultants agree to abide by when they become a consultant. Unfortunately, there is no ';Arbonne police'; to monitor and get rid of those who are unethical.
Having said that, I had used Estee Lauder and other expensive department store brands for many, many years without the results I've gotten with Arbonne. Check it out at GreatSkinGreatLife.myarbonne.com
I am an independent consultant for arbonne. I have been using and selling arbonne and this product is by far one of the best skin care products out there. Avon and Marykay are Not all natural they have so many filleres that can clog and damage your skin! Arbonne is 100% all natural and has NO filler or harmfull alchol in there product. Arbonne also has no fragrance in there product unless it is a holiday product witch ';fragrance'; will clearly be stated on the front of the bottle. If you are intrested in buying or even becoming a consultant please e-mail me at ';haven_e@hotmail.com'; one of the great things about being a consultant is that unlike Anon and Marykay you dont have to buy your own inventory you just tell people about it and sell the product. You can also learn more at ';www.arbonne.com'; if you have any more questions i would love to talk with you just e-mail me at the address above.

My sister used to be an Arbonne rep. I do not think their products are tested on animals and they do not contain animal products in them. Arbonne is supposed to be good for people with very sensitive skin, but like most cosmetics, they can be very expensive.
I use Arbonne's About Face Color. I have the color wand and mineral powder for foundation, eye shadows, blushers, eye pencils, lip gloss, prep n' plump, and mascara. I love them all. I'm not too fond on the eye brow wax however.
All of Arbonne's cosmetics are pure, safe, beneficial, and made without animal products/bi products or wax, dyes, chemicals, etc. They're made with extremely high European standards and are long lasting. You can also save 35%-75% off all of Arbonne's products, order them online, and have them shipped directly to your door.

Which company who sells the first cosmetic or beauty products for men?
as we all know, metrosexual is becoming a trend these days.
any idea which company sold the first cosmetic and beauty products for men? and in what way that company satisfy mens' beauty needs?Which company who sells the first cosmetic or beauty products for men?
If you mean things like nose-hair trimmers, men's girdles, perfume, and snake-oil in general you are going to have to go back past the Victorian era.
If you mean cosmetics you have to go back past the Egyptian dynasties.
If you mean for ceremonial purposes you have to go back past the dawn of man.
Does that answer your question?

Hello,
It's right on the dot because when I was a ';beginner'; MAC fanatic, I bought MAC pigments and brushes from this one seller (very cheap bid and in LOTS). So when I receive my items, I took it to the MAC counter and asked them to do a makeover... low and behold... they told me the samething that this ad is informing us. Beware because the seller didn't refund my money but gave and left a bad feedback stating that I never paid and ';stole'; the items. It was a bad experience with me and wouldn't buy from sellers like that again. Besure to check their ';feedback'; history and check to see what the article says to lookout for... look closely in pictures. There are A LOT of fakes on eBay... just have to beware.
Thank you for informing us!

Is there rules about importing cosmetic products?
Is there some form of law preventing the export of completly natural (cosmetic) products from australia? Is there rules about importing cosmetic products?
I think the rules you have to contend with are from the importing country, like you have to list all the ingredients on the label, since some people are allergic to certain ingredients. The agent importing it from you would ask you for that. In addition, it's his duty to send a sample to the equivalent of that country's Health Sciences Authority to test the product for poisonous material. Other than that, I don't think they test much more, since it's listed as a cosmetic product and not a drug. They don't test for efficacy, i.e. if your product is supposed to reduce wrinkles, no-one tests to see if it really does that.

L'occitane cosmetic products, are they worth the price?
I'm looking for a handcream in particular, 'cos my hands get chapped to bruises in the winter. All products have failed so far in curing/preventing this. Being a guy, I hardly know anything about cosmetics, do you think it is any better than the cheaper ones?L'occitane cosmetic products, are they worth the price?
get merle normanL'occitane cosmetic products, are they worth the price?
Well if they work for you then I would say that they are worth the money!! Also try Clarins hand cream thats really good too!
Yeah, I think it's worth the price. I have a hand cream by L'Occitane that cost $25. It's a dry skin hand cream with shea butter, and it lasts a long while because you don't take that much per use. It's not like the cheap stuff where it's very runny and thin, and doesn't absorb well.
Basically, some beauty products are overpriced due to reputation or brand name, but overall, the ones that are more expensive are so because they have higher quality ingredients. I have really dry skin and the pharmacy stuff doesn't do it for me, especially in the winter.

Has anyone tried Chella products (facial cleansers and cosmetics)? If so, what did you think?
I don't believe miracles are found in a jar, but there are products that can give some visible improvement.
This company makes some pretty radical claims (www.chella.com) Please let me know if you've tried any of their products and what your experience was.

Best Mac Cosmetics Products...?
Hi.
This Weekend I'm going to a department store to buy MAC Cosmetics.
I was wondering in your opinion what are the best products for me to buy.
ThanksBest Mac Cosmetics Products...?
For the eyes-
Mascara: Fibre Rich Lash
Eyeshadow: Heatherette Trio 2
Lips:
Tinted LipGlass
Skin: Prep Prime Skin
I love MAC's wide color variety. You can find some amazing colours there, I love the corals at the moment! :)Best Mac Cosmetics Products...?
slimeshine lipstick in Bare
mineral blush in Nuance
they are the only mac products i use even though i have like almost 12 matte blushes
for foundation choose lancome
mascara clinique or nars Report Abuse
I love the eyeshadow pigments they have
For lips I like the slimeshines
i've tried their other products like eyeliner foundation, i didn't like either one. the eyeliner seems to come off a little and foundation seems cakey.
MAC is really overrated..im starting to c that now..i use to only wear m.a.c but it really is not all that great..only the eyeliner or eyeshadow is worth buying seriously...maybe the lip gloss as well..if ur looking for foundation/concealer..look else where
They have the BEST eyeliner on the market.
All there product is pretty much the best out there, the shadesticks aren't that great and there are better ones out there but the rest are awesome, they are a bit pricey though.
I dont care for MAC makeup. It's to thick and more for like theatrical than anything....not for everyday use. But thats my opinion. Good luck however...
Any of their eye makeup is WONDERFUL!!! I just LOVE their eyeshadows!
Fluidline...
I'm in love with it =/

Should cosmetics firms test products on animals?
i think initially they need to tests in animals before proceeding on humans...Should cosmetics firms test products on animals?
I would love to say no, but i think they should.
when testing cars they use crash-test-dummies BUT they crash the car.
what will they do with cosmetics? real humans?
they test on humans after they finished testing on animals. i am against cruelty but (sadly) they should test on animals first and humans second.

Are avon cosmetics and personal products good? Which is the best product?
While I love some of the products, I hate others. I cannot believe that some Avon reps compare Avon's Naturals line to Bath and Body Works. There is no comparison at all. The Naturals line leaves your skin dry with weird, not nice, smells. The BBW line leaves your skin very moist with a lovely scent that last all day. So I don't buy this comparison at all. The products that are good are the Anew line, the Liiv products, and some of the jewelry. If you are using an Avon rep, make sure you know how much she charges for return (I charge a nominal fee based on weight -- just to cover the return shipping postage that Avon charges me). Just because Avon has a 100% Satisfaction Guarantee doesn't mean all Avon reps are able to comply (though most do.)
I only use the waterproof mascara because their non-waterproof formulas end up in my eyes and on my face. I do like most of the lipsticks. The lip balms are waxy and strange tasting. I do like most of the perfumes too. The newer ones are stronger; as they become a part of Avon's regular line, it seems like Avon dilutes them. So go for the intro prices.
You can always buy Avon cheap at Avon and eBay.Are avon cosmetics and personal products good? Which is the best product?
Avon is okay but Mark is even better! Mark is a side brand from Avon! And the products are amazing!! Seriously my friends and I can't stop using them!! Seriously I am obsessed with this line!!Are avon cosmetics and personal products good? Which is the best product?
I loved the way the mascaras made my eyes look, then I had an allergic reaction to them, which had never happened before or since!
So be careful
Nope.
They are very cheap %26amp; crappy.
yes, i am using it 4 last 5yrs they work very well specially pimple products are the best and also lotion , cream........

For you, what is the company or particular brand in the market that offers the best cosmetic products?
This is only a survey. For you, what is the company or particular brand in the market that offers the best cosmetic products?
i use MACFor you, what is the company or particular brand in the market that offers the best cosmetic products?
M.A.C
1. Their makeup does not run.
2. Their makeup is high quality.
3. Their makeup stays long, long lasting, feels great.
4. Just the fact that you're wearing M.A.C makeup makes you feel all princess-y. :)
But I would only use M.A.C for primer (stuff you put on your eyes before eyeshadow), or makeup.
For facewashes, moisturizers, lotions, I would opt for something cheaper, like from the Body Shop or Biore or something. :)

I need a starting point to find a market for branded cosmetic products?
i have been handed the task to sell a big stock of branded cosmetic products for ladies at very cheap price(they ARE genuine! i'hv got them checked by some pro. its cheap only because my boss gets them at cheap rates) i either need to wholesale them or find potential markets/customers for these goods. but for a new starter, dats rather a challenge....and i need some advice on where to start looking for.on the net? go and ask traders in the market? your advice would be appreciated. thanksI need a starting point to find a market for branded cosmetic products?
post 'em on ebay if they are truly legit.
or set up a full scale mini-company to market them, depending on how much stock you have. If it's not much, you could conceivably sell the whole stock off of one newspaper or radio ad.I need a starting point to find a market for branded cosmetic products?

There are charities who now test without using animals.

Vintage Cosmetics And Body Products?
They sell these products in Sephora that look kinda of vintage and they have like little kind of pinup girls on the products, i think they might sell the stuff in target also. It looks kind of like the Barbie products and Too faced. Do you know the name?

What cosmetic products do and don't use animal testing?
I really think that animal testing for cosmetic purposes is cruel and pointless. Why should a rabbit be blinded so someone can get their eyelashes 1% longer than the next leading brand?
But anyways, my question is what cosmetic products (makeup, mascara, acne creams, scar products, and other cosmetic related products) DO and DON'T use animal testing?

Animal Products hidden in cosmetics?
I recently heard that cosmetic companies buy animal products from rendering plants and put them in cosmetics and skin care products.
I also heard that they are not required to put these ingredients on their labels.
Is this true? I am so grossed out!Animal Products hidden in cosmetics?
Cosmetics companies are required to disclose their ingredients . However, not all animal derived ingredients are clearly recognizable or identified for the average consumer.
Here are a couple of sites to help you out:
http://www.caringconsumer.com/ has information about animal testing and cosmetic ingredients.
http://www.cosmeticscop.com/learn/dictio鈥?/a>
This is a dictionary of cosmetic ingredients on www.cosmeticscop.com.Animal Products hidden in cosmetics?

What are the importances of market segmentation to a cosmetics product?
Of what importances is market segmentation useful to cosmetics company .what are the importances a company can derive from the adoption of market segmentation for its product. What are the importances of market segmentation to a cosmetics product?
Market segmentation is the process in marketing of dividing a market into distinct subsets (segments) that behave in the same way or have similar needs. Because each segment is fairly homogeneous in their needs and attitudes, they are likely to respond similarly to a given marketing strategy. That is, they are likely to have similar feeling and ideas about a marketing mix comprised of a given product or service, sold at a given price, distributed in a certain way, and promoted in a certain way.
Small segments are often termed niche markets or specialty markets.
For cosmetic industry segment you can refer to http://www.marketresearch.com/map/prod/1鈥?/a> if you are interested in this sector.

What LUSH Cosmetics product would you reccomend?
I'm going to order something from LUSH (first time buyer) and was wondering what products you would recommendWhat LUSH Cosmetics product would you reccomend?
Their bath bombs are great. You can't go wrong with any of those. The shower jellies are really interesting. It's like a jello jiggler of body wash. Kind of fun!
I use Fresh Farmacy face soap, Angels on Bare Skin exfoliator, and Enzymion moisturizer on my oily and sensitive skin. I love all of those products and would die if they were ever discontinued. What LUSH Cosmetics product would you reccomend?
It really all depends on what you like. I would deffinately reccommend a bath bomb. My favorites as Sex Bomb and Big Blue. You really can't go wrong with those (just be careful cause some of them have flower petals and other crazy things in them. Those bath bombs include supernova and english countryside). English Countryside smells really good but it's hell to clean up because of all of the petals.
As far as the solid soaps go, you can't go wrong with Honey I washed the kids. Its a very, soft honey sent that you will love. I also like RockStar too. Porridge is good too, you can use it as an exfolliant.
Ocean Salt Scrub is kind of expensive but it's a great exfolliant and it lasts forever. They also have great bubble bars too. You only need half a bar in order to have a tub full of bubbles. My favs for those are Ma Bar, Creamy Candy (which smells just like RockStar) and the comforter. The Comforter is really popular and it smalls like berries.
Hope this helps!!
BIG SHAMPOO its amazing (and expenisive) but its brilliant, actually the best shampoo ever
I like Cynthia Sylvia Stout shampoo and You Crack the Whip exfoliator. All the bath bombs are good too

Which E.L.F. cosmetics products would you or would you NOT recommend?
I'm ordering a bunch of things of eyeslipsface.com Which E.L.F. cosmetics products would you or would you NOT recommend?
I do not recommend their foundation.
I do recommend their lip gloss with SPF 15, and their clear mascara for holding brows in place.Which E.L.F. cosmetics products would you or would you NOT recommend?
Everything is alright considering the price. If you buy the eyeshadow just make sure you use an eyeshadow primer like UDPP, Benefits Lemon Aid, or Too Faced Eyeshadow Insurance and it will last all day.
The only thing I really don't like are that their eyeliners tug at the eyes a little when I try to put them on.

don't order any of their face makeup, its really cheap stuff.
i recommend the eyeliners, brushes, nail polish, bath products, and lip products. Theyre reallly good products.
Their eye shadow quads do not work for me, the color barely shows up, and after I do get it to show up it wears off very quickly! I love their lip plumpers and the eyeshadow brush is awesome!

Can I exchange a used MAC Cosmetics product?
Two days ago, I bought the Mineralize SPF 15 Foundation/Loose in Medium Dark. It looked great when I tried it at the store. The next day when I applied it, it got darker after a couple of hours. I have only used it once and I was wondering if I could exchange it for a lighter tone. Can I exchange a used MAC Cosmetics product?
Yes you can exchange it. MAC has a good policy in regards to buying their product and returning or exchanging it. Next time you should try to ask them for a sample of a foundation you tried on in the store before you decide to purchase the product so that you can try it on at home and see if you like it-because the lighting in the store is usually a lot brighter than what lighting you would be exposed to in a normal, every-day environment. Can I exchange a used MAC Cosmetics product?
Yeah they will just tell them, and they have no problem with it as long as you have the receipt. I suggest though before you do it have a sample or ask to see it in natural lighting. I know that sounds weird, but when I went to NYC I tried Bobbi Brown the sale person told me to go see how it looked outside to see if I wanted a different shade or not. Good luck.

I've never had a problem or known of anyone who did. MAC is pretty good about things like that.

when i was younger i would make my own 'bath products' and 'shampoo' and 'conditioner' by taking all the different shampoos and pouring a bit of each into a bottle and mixing it up, i did the same for the 'bath products' and 'conditioner' then i would stick a label on each saying what they were, not that you could read it because i was about 5 and i hid the propper stuff
