i am really debating between mac studio sculpt and studio finish concealer.
my shade is nw25. i do not have acne. i break out every once and awhile..but when i do get a blemish i want to make sure its completely concealed.
i use concealer mainly for under my eyes and the sides of my nose.. but i want to make sure this concealer conceals blemishes well..
please give your opinion on which one i should get.

Studio Finish concealer for me doesn't have much coverage, but unlike the studio sculpt it has an SPF of 15.
I personally like the studio sculpt better because it has a better coverage, if you want SPF you could use a moisturizer with one under your concealer.

Its about 12 dollars for a compact that last for a long time. If you have a dark skin stick to warm, earthy colors. Gold, bronze and maroon are in fact best for dusky skins. Cooler colors like mauve, pink and silver look better on fairer skins.
Choose lipsticks with matte finish rather than frosted ones. The shades should not be too dark or too light. Medium dull shades would look best. Bright pinks or reds are an absolutely NO! If you have dark lips, before applying lipstick, put some foundation and powder on your lips.
Your blusher too should not be pinkish. Peachish blushers work best on dusky complexion. A gold eyeshadow would be complimentary where as a silver one may not look good.

Well, it depends on what kind of products you are looking for.
But in any case, my favorite products from MAC are the MSF - Mineralized Satin Finish liquid foundation. This is a great buy, and leaves your skin looking radiant and glowing.
Another favorite are MAC blushes, especially the DUOs.
My favorite is Hot Planet. You can use the lighter part for highlighting the cheeks, nose, and eyebrows!
Another one is Studio Sculpt concealer. It's great because you only need a little bit of it to cover any blemishes or undereye circles. This stuff will last for a long time, cause it's so much product in one package!

Yeah, we do collect our cosmetics, don't we? I guess we do it the way many guys collect tools and fixer up items (though I do know a few men who have more and better makeup than I do).
Makeup can last a long time, especially the poweders, but there's an expiration date for a reason. Bacteria collects because it's open and it touches parts of our face and eyes. I know people who have gotten eye infections from using outdated eye makeup.
Best to have fresh products, buy small containers or tubes and check expiration. If it doesn't have I would throw it out after a year.

Another of my favorites would have to be the Godmother soap! It is fruity and refreshing and wonderful! It lathers really well and has a smell that lasts! You will love it as a hand soap and a shower soap! It is one of my favorite (and I MEAN FAVORITE) soaps! The scent is light and amazing!
Another one of my favorite products is the Comforter bubble bar! It is also a fruity scent with a hint of vanilla! It make GIANT bubbles and makes the water in your tub pink! It makes your skin SSSSOOOOO soft! I'm not kidding! You feel so soft and smooth it's crazy!
The sugar scrub is wonderful too! It is a little rough, but it makes your skin soft and smell good!

A lot of my stuff say that :] Also, if it says ';opthalmologist tested'; that just means an eye doctor tested it, but it was NOT tested on animals. Just a tip! ;)

It is made of natural ingredients %26amp; contains no parabens. it contains 7 natural oils %26amp; 14 herbs (such as sweet almond oil,olive oil which is very good for the skin,wheatgerm oil etc).
It's meant for dry skin conditions but I have normal skin %26amp; use it also; whic works really well. The only thing is it is a little rich. (well, it IS meant for dry skin conditions).
It is also very good value as it comes in a big bottle which lasts ages %26amp; I find I only need to use a small amount %26amp; it does the job.

MAC Cosmetics Products?
i just started going to the MAC makeup counter and i love it! i was wondering if there was any favorite product you have of there you would reccomend. So far i have a minerialized blush in Dainty and two eyeshadows, wedge, and bamboo. The next time i go i am planning on getting the mineralized skinfinsh natural, 182 brush, All that glitters eyeshadow and the 239 brush. so please put your products that you recommend for me and try to keep it netural/natural.

For me, I'd need at least some waterproof mascara, since I have pale eyelashes, and some concealer for a scar I have on my chin.

and occasionally NATURAL COLOUR LIPSTICK for a little cheek colour and to cover pale lips... friends used to comment how pretty I was without make up..(hee hee)
2) Since then, my essential is LIPPY!! I look quite pale and wash out easily, so natural LIPSTICK to cover pale lips, on upper cheek-line, and outer edge of eye between lid and brow.)
3) My cousin is drop-dead gorgeous and I caught her applying her technique one fateful day ..so simple..BLUSHER ( applied on cheeks and to the outer eye to brow, and slightly above..huge blusher brush) Honestly, that's all she (and sometimes I) use for day wear, it tones the whole face to a fresh natural glow.
4) I tend to prefer a lash and BROW TINT (lasts for 6wks), to stop my fair brow disappearing in direct sunlight.

I've decided to venture out into the world of MAC. I'm a college student and MAC products are a bit pricey. So I've only used what my cousin has let me borrow when I'm with her lol.
But now I've decided to get some of my own and I'm wondering what are their best products that are worth my money.

Basically a lot of the mac products are a hit or miss.
it's depending on what you're looking for, you can get a lot of stuff that are the exact same quality at drug stores.
mac has a wide assortment of lipstick finish's %26amp; eyeshadow finish's.
the lip glasses are nice but they're also extremely sticky.
honestly my favorites are the mineralized skin finish's, eye shadows, lipsticks, %26amp; fix+ (which sets your foundation and gets rid of flakes on your skin)
a lot of the people commenting on this have no idea what they're talking about because you can get liquid eyeliners that are the same quality as mac at any drugstore. the best eyeliners from mac in my opinion are power point pencil in engraved %26amp; eye kohl in fascinating.
oh and btw, the shadesticks are no good, they dry out. if you're looking for a good base get an nyx shadestick in yogurt! or you can even use any creamy white eyeliner. and the too faced shadow insurance is good if you have dry lids.. if your eyelids are oily get the urban decay primer potion.
P.S DO NOT INVEST IN THERE MASCARA, IT'S CRAP.

don't waste your time with their skincare and anything you put directly on your cheeks, or skin, (besides your eyes and mouth) because the other stuff they make that you put on your face is honestly kinda crappy and you can find way better. But yaaa, the eye and lip products are really good especially the pigments, also try their new mascara!
ok so unlike what people have said, i wouldn't recommend their pigments for someone just starting off, because it's 20$ for one color, and that one color will last you forever. so it's kind of worthless to buy one color that's really expensive and they give you like sooo much product. they're really good, but share one with a friend if you want a pigment
definitely get a paintpot, they make great bases and are better than shadesticks
and try some common, neutral shadows like woodwinked, satin taupe, carbon (black, but i use that alllll the time for smokey looks)
talk to the MAC people, but dont let them sell you on stuff you dont want or need, like if you already like your foundation, then stick with it
also, their lip products are really good
With a few MAC staples (their shadesticks are wonderful...) you can mix and match brands with high pigment and kewl colors just like their line. I recommend their loose pigments and shadesticks. Shadesticks are a must have for creating a sticky base for the pigments and other shadows to adhere to and to create better and more vibrant color. Their loose pigments are great too. They have a great texture and if applied appropriately really look hot! I mix in products by NYX, urban decay, and twofaced (their shadow insurance is a MUST have and prolongs the life of your color application). Have fun trying out new things!!! Makeup is really fun to play with and an easy way to change up and revamp your look! :)

Before I switched to this make up I used Mac because I found that my face broke out less from it, however with the natural rice I have NO break outs and the prices are amazing. The nice part? If you try it and hate it, Sally will give you 100% refund with a reciept with in their return policy even if you have opened it. When in a pinch, you may find that this works for you. I do not suggest that you order through E-bay even if the products are sealed because thoes are usually close to out of date. What cosmetic products are best for getting rid of blackheads?
I've tried a few products to get rid of my black heads, but none of them have worked. Do you have any suggestions?What cosmetic products are best for getting rid of blackheads?
I think those Biore strips or Ponds strips are great! Wet your nose or forehead or whereever u want the blackheads removed, stick on the strips, let it dry and then peel it off! you can buy something called ablckhead remover at your local drug store. it's inexpensive and it won't leave a scar.
Use a good quality mild facial scrub. It takes time to get rid of blackheads completely. Use the scrub regularly and your skin will get better :-)

BHA (beta hydroxy acids) work best at getting rid of blackheads because the exfoliate the dirt out of your pores. Try Paula's Choice (www.paulaschoice.com) 1 or 2% gel or lotion after washing your face every night.

Just wondering if anyone knows which brands or products look best on asian, especially Vietnamese, skin tones? The studio fix fluid foundation is certainly one of their best. It has quite a thick texture but it has an excellent coverage and stays on the skin for hours and hours! If you do gte this product though, make sure to get your skin color checked to find the right color for you (:
Their lipsticks are also great! There are so many shades and they have a really creamy consistency which glides on the lips.
Their pigments are great too! There are LOADS of shades to choose from, and they can be used for so many things, like you can use them as an eyeshadow, on your cheeks, mix them with clear gloss for a lipgloss, etc. as they are in a pigmented powdered form.
So just browse around the store and pick whatever you like or what you feel you need!
Have a great time spending the money! MAC products are amazing ;D

I like their perssed-powder foundation and thier eyeshadows. I also love their lipgloss... don't bother with the nailpolish I bought 1 color and tried it not... i'm not that pleased with it unless you have your own topcoat to use over it then it will look better.

My favourite has to be the eyeliner, it's really good! It's waterproof aswell so actually stays put.
The primer is also good, its reallyyyy soft and really does make the foundation go on better.
The brush... well this isnt a cosmetic so i wont really say much about that but it is really good cus you can use it for all sorts.
One thing im not sure of is the foundation, im trying to find a new one and will defo be buying a new one when i have the money. This stuff doesn't do wonders, if makes your face look shiny throughout the day and kind of surfaces if you get me, looks patchy within a few hours.

Why doesn't MAC cosmetics want to sell the products in new areas?
I live in Eastern Europe and a lot of people in my country like these products and I would like to bring them in my store, but as far as I have read they don't allow anyone new to sell their products. Why is that? They are just cosmetics ... professional, but cosmetics. Since their slogan is ALL races, ALL ages, ALL sexes they should respect that in all terms. It isn't anything personal. MAC only sells their products through MAC retail and major department stores. This is why you won't find MAC at sephora. They are a huge market and only go through major major retailers, who promise to move a surplus amount every month. We are taking about HUGE multi-billion dollar business, with stockholders and boards of director to appease, unfortunately, your little store is not even on their radar.
I would stick with smaller, independent companies like Urban Decay and Stila, you may have more luck.

I'm sort of scared to use drugstore brands since the last product I bought, Almay eyeshadow base and under eye concealer was sort of weird. Yeah, L'Oreal products are great. I don't know if they're as good as everything you'd find at Sephora, but I personally think that there are some things that you should spend a little more on. I spring for the pricier foundation and concealer, but have no problem with drugstore eyeshadows and blushes, even mascaras.
If you're hesitant about spending the money at Sephora, go in and get a sample, they'll give you one in just about any product. And they have a guarantee on all their products, so if you don't like how something is working for you, they take it back.

I haven't tried Mary Kay. I thumbed through a catalog but the prices were too high for me to even try their makeup. I do order from Avon though. I buy their stuff when it's on sale. I also like the fact that I can return stuff if I don't like the way it looks on me. I'm not sure if you can do that with MK

No the hype is more than the results. MAC is very thick and heavy so it does tend to clog pores and break you out on the other extreme I also DO NOT recommend Bare Minerals this product line contains bismuth oxychloride which also creates lots of skin problems.
The ebst product I have worked with that truly works is bee luscious cosmetics liquid to powder minerals that is hypo allergenic and will not break you out.

Ehhhh....although I should be a poster child for the line, I dont fancy there foundation. The concealer is FAB but there foundations, for me, come out with a gray effect. Try Bobbi Brown Makeup. I have not tried hers myself but I heard it does wonders. Warning....its a bit pricey.
