I've decided to venture out into the world of MAC. I'm a college student and MAC products are a bit pricey. So I've only used what my cousin has let me borrow when I'm with her lol.
But now I've decided to get some of my own and I'm wondering what are their best products that are worth my money.
I really like their eyeshadows. =]What are the best MAC Cosmetics products?
Basically a lot of the mac products are a hit or miss.
it's depending on what you're looking for, you can get a lot of stuff that are the exact same quality at drug stores.
mac has a wide assortment of lipstick finish's %26amp; eyeshadow finish's.
the lip glasses are nice but they're also extremely sticky.
honestly my favorites are the mineralized skin finish's, eye shadows, lipsticks, %26amp; fix+ (which sets your foundation and gets rid of flakes on your skin)
a lot of the people commenting on this have no idea what they're talking about because you can get liquid eyeliners that are the same quality as mac at any drugstore. the best eyeliners from mac in my opinion are power point pencil in engraved %26amp; eye kohl in fascinating.
oh and btw, the shadesticks are no good, they dry out. if you're looking for a good base get an nyx shadestick in yogurt! or you can even use any creamy white eyeliner. and the too faced shadow insurance is good if you have dry lids.. if your eyelids are oily get the urban decay primer potion.
P.S DO NOT INVEST IN THERE MASCARA, IT'S CRAP.
oh btw, there foundation (studio fix fluid) that everyone raves about you can get literally get the same exact thing at the drugstore for like $20 less it's revlon colorstay. they have the same texture, same smell etc( i have both)What are the best MAC Cosmetics products?
their lip products and their eye products.
Get their lipglass, lipstick, and anything limited edition.
they're eye pigments, eyeshadows, and false lashes are also really really good.
don't waste your time with their skincare and anything you put directly on your cheeks, or skin, (besides your eyes and mouth) because the other stuff they make that you put on your face is honestly kinda crappy and you can find way better. But yaaa, the eye and lip products are really good especially the pigments, also try their new mascara!
ok so unlike what people have said, i wouldn't recommend their pigments for someone just starting off, because it's 20$ for one color, and that one color will last you forever. so it's kind of worthless to buy one color that's really expensive and they give you like sooo much product. they're really good, but share one with a friend if you want a pigment
definitely get a paintpot, they make great bases and are better than shadesticks
and try some common, neutral shadows like woodwinked, satin taupe, carbon (black, but i use that alllll the time for smokey looks)
talk to the MAC people, but dont let them sell you on stuff you dont want or need, like if you already like your foundation, then stick with it
also, their lip products are really good
With a few MAC staples (their shadesticks are wonderful...) you can mix and match brands with high pigment and kewl colors just like their line. I recommend their loose pigments and shadesticks. Shadesticks are a must have for creating a sticky base for the pigments and other shadows to adhere to and to create better and more vibrant color. Their loose pigments are great too. They have a great texture and if applied appropriately really look hot! I mix in products by NYX, urban decay, and twofaced (their shadow insurance is a MUST have and prolongs the life of your color application). Have fun trying out new things!!! Makeup is really fun to play with and an easy way to change up and revamp your look! :)
powders are amazing! and so is foundation! since it is a bit more pricey spend more on foundation, powder concealer etc.. because it will be siting on your face for the whole day

their liquid eyeliner works the best, (the waterproof one) doesn't even come off if I shower twice. I need makeup remover for it.
i think its most of their eye makeup
also dont try their foundation its really bad and messes up your skin just a heads up
